Miller Wins at Manhattan Beach GP

TIBCO's Brooke Miller won the field sprint to take the win at the 47th Annual Manhattan Beach Grand Prix this weekend in Southern California. Miller's teammates Rushlee Buchanan and Amber Rais managed to control the field, despite being outnumbered. The two brought back a dangerous break late in the race to set up the field sprint. Brooke won the race ahead of Cheerwine's Laura Van Gilder and Advil/Chapstick's Jen McCrae, wrapping up another successful weekend of racing. Read more on Cycling News. Town Hall Meeting: Bicycle Safety Forum

Former Olympian and Team TIBCO Founder and President, Linda Jackson, will serve as a panelist for this forum on bicycle safety in Santa Clara County and the surrounding regions. Cal Trans Director Will Kempton will speak, followed by the panel discussion. Other panelists include representatives from the California Department of Transportation, CalTrain, Santa Clara Valley Bicycle Coalition, Santa Clara Transportation Authority and the San Francisco Metropolitan Transportation Commission. New to Team TIBCO this year and now in her third year racing at the elite NRC level, Rais has just returned from racing the Tour de l'Aude with the U.S. National Team in France. Rais began racing at the collegiate level with the Stanford Cycling Team and has since continued to progress through the cycling ranks with an eye toward future World Championships and Olympic Games. Two Wins and GC Lead for Kiesanowski

Team TIBCO racer Jo Kiesanowski has chalked up two wins and a podium finish and now leads the General Classification (GC) at the Mt. Hood Cycling Classic in Hood River, Oregon. Jo earned the leader's jersey after winning the Prologue, and the team has set its sights on defending the GC lead. With dedicated teamwork and support, Jo took second on Stage 2 and won Stage 3 of the UCI stage race. Team TIBCO's Brooke Miller won the bunch kick, followed closely by teammate Ali Rosenthal for third at the EBC Criterium in Pleasanton, CA this weekend. TIBCO racers Brooke Miller, Ali Rosenthal and Charlotte Hart, along with Development Team Assistant Director Liza Rachetto, created an aggressive and active race, working together well in the finishing sprint to put two on the podium. Rais, Heal Win at Gila

Team TIBCO rocked the Tour of the Gila with two stage wins, a podium finish and fourth place on the GC. Stage 1 saw TIBCO's Rushlee Buchanan break away for over 30 miles, and on Stage 2 Amber Rais sprinted to the win after a 55 mile breakaway with two other riders. Rachel Heal attacked out of the winning break to win the Silver City criterium on Stage 4, while new addition Jo Kiesanowski finished 3rd in the final stage, the Gila Monster Road Race, placing 4th on the overall General Classification. Team TIBCO earned three podium appearances over the weekend at the SRAM Sea Otter Classic. Former Olympian and current Olympic hopeful Rachel Heal stormed to the finish for third place in the SRAM Pro/Elite NRC Circuit Race, also taking second in the Hillclimb Competition. Racing the new LOOK 986 mountain bike frames over twisting singletrack and soft sand pits, Elite Team racer Victoria Bastide and Development Team racer Ashley Fouts podiumed in the SRAM XC Mountain Bike race with third and fifth place finishes, respectively.
