Team TIBCO’s expressed mission is to create positive impacts on women’s health and to give back to the community. We are equally committed to reducing our negative environmental impacts as a team. We understand that a healthy environment promotes a healthy community, so we have created the TIBCO Blue Planet Campaign.

The scope of our Blue Planet Campaign includes our team’s commitment not only to positive action, but also to creating broader impact in the community through education, outreach and example. Our Blue Planet Campaign targets four major goals to achieve these ends:

• Reduce Team TIBCO Carbon Emissions by Over 80%
• Support Emissions Reductions in the Community
• Increase Health and Environmental Awareness in the Community
• Reduce Equipment Waste Through Recycling and Reuse

True Blue Partnerships

We are not alone in our efforts toward more environmentally sustainable practices. Thankfully many sponsors, organizations and other cycling enthusiasts strive to achieve the same ends, and Team TIBCO heartily encourages these efforts. To further motivate positive change with our Blue Planet Campaign, we’re working to strengthen this growing network of activists through strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations.

These companies are part of a growing effort in the cycling industry to respond to the urgent need for action, and their committment serves as an excellent example for environmental stewardship in cycling.

Clif Bar takes a multifaceted approach to sustainability, using organic ingredients for all of their food products, adopting green business practices and joining the fight against global warming. Having launched their environmental program in 2001, Clif Bar is already one of the cycling industry's prime examples of socially and environmentally responsible business. Pedros has long offered environmentally friendly products made from recycled goods. Among the best-known of these are tire levers made from recycled milk cartons and saddle bags made from used bicycle tubes. Schwalbe Tires knows how to make a good tire, which is good for business and for the environment. A long-lasting tire is a cyclist's dream: no frustrating road-side stops during training or racing. The added benefit of this strategy is that Schwalbe tires are the last to see a land-fill, if ever. Not only does the durability of Schwalbe tires mean fewer tires thrown away, but the company has also implemented a tire recycling program, turning old tires into new rubber mats for playgrounds and bike shops.
